KAREN MOSKOWITZ, member

Karen chose to become an attorney because she loves reading, writing, and helping others.  Her civil litigation practice began in 1992, as an associate attorney at O’Connor Cavanagh. In 1996, she joined the Viad Corp Law Department where she reviewed, drafted and negotiated commercial and real estate contracts. Karen left Viad after five years to raise her three daughters, and to spend time volunteering in the Paradise Valley Unified School District on many levels: in the classroom, in the PTA, and on various district committees. For over a decade, she was an educational consultant for School Choice International, now Bennett International, providing expertise to help domestic and international families relocating to the Phoenix area. In 2013, Karen returned to her legal practice at the Chernoff Law Firm in Scottsdale, focusing on commercial, real estate, and personal injury litigation.  She joined Baskin Richards in 2018, continuing her commercial litigation practice and defending the State of Arizona against multiple claims for wrongful termination of a government contract.  Forming Richards & Moskowitz PLC and facilitating its growth have been the highlights of her career.

Karen has lived in Arizona since she was four years old.  She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1989. She graduated from Arizona State University College of Law in 1992, where she participated on the Environmental Law Moot Court Team. During law school, Karen interned for U.S. District Court Judge Earl H. Carroll. She is admitted in Arizona’s State and Federal Courts.

When she’s not hanging out with the Richards & Moskowitz team, Karen enjoys yoga, hiking, cycling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
